Looking for a Mazda Hood Deflector

Hey hey - I've done a search on this and didn't really find anything recent that was helping me out.

Does anyone know where I could find the Mazda hood deflector for my P5?

The summer's rapidly approaching and this means extensive road trips.
And besides that, I think I like the way that they look and would love to pick one up from an online shop or from a member who has one kicking about. I think that it'd look dope on my black P5 with my roof bike racks and fairing.

Hopefully someone here can help me out! Thanks!

Yeah, checked all those places (except the stealership) and no joy thusfar but that's sort of what I had expected.

Save your time. Mazda no longer makes the hood deflector for Proteges. You have to go aftermarket. I got one from Profit. It fits well and looks good as well.

I have a profile hood deflector, it's nice. I heard this can rust out the hood, is this true?

deflector or not? I prefer the style it gives it...

On the profit deflector there are 4 plastic protective "stickers" that cover the hood where the tabs attach the deflector. There is, with everything, a potential for dirt & moisture to get trapped under the tabs and start surface rust, but I think that's rare now. Older deflectors had metal attaching tabs and required drilling into the hood for attachment causing rust in a short period of time.

I put 1000 kms (600 miles) a week on the P5 and I was getting stone & salt chips on the leading edge of the hood on a frequent basis. The hood deflector resolves this problem for me.

some dealers may still have the hood deflector available
you asked for a MAZDA one, how come you haven't checked the dealer to begin with?

the part number is 0000-86-00PR-01

it is ONLY available in canada

I gave up the search for the OEM deflector after calling atleast 30 dealers accross Canada and was not able to find one.

Here are the pics of the FormFit not profit as I mentioned earlier.

Hey I want the form fit. Where did you get that

The place is called "Action Truck cap & accessories". They are a small chain of stores across the Maritime provinces (in Canada). Total cost was just under $80 CDN.
