We bought a 2004 3, with an automatic transmission, for my wife a couple of years ago and have started having problems. Even after having the car checked out and getting the okay, they obviously missed something. When the tranny started acting up (flickering gear lights on the dash, slipping in and out of gear) I have found the wiring to the inhibitor switch is a Frankenstein of wiring. The plug from the wiring harness is missing and it is direct wired into the inhibitor then epoxied into place. I just need the plug to splice into but it comes on the wiring harness. I don't really need a $500 wiring harness, just the plug. Does anyone know of somewhere I could search or purchase one of these?
