Looking at widebands.

After a little tinkering today, i could not get my boost gauge to light up, (it's analog so it does work but i cant see it at night.)

So im going to have to order a new one,

The car has a narrow band, but it does not even have a wiring harness so.... i might as well order a wideband while im at it.

Problem. this is my first turbo car...matter of fact im more of a mini truck guy.
So im lost.

After a little research. i see that everyone seems to like the AEM uego wideband, but to be honest, im not sure what to be looking for?

I know i need one if i ever want to get rid of my fuel cut problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a big fan of the Autometer Ultra-Lite wideband. The color scheme matches the interior nicely, at it uses the same Bosch sensor the UEGO does, IIRC. I have both an Autometer Ultra-Lite boost gauge (with red 194 Advance Auto Parts bulb) and the Autometer Ultra-Lite Wideband. It looks almost OEM.

I have the AEM wideband, an love it. All my other gauges are autometer but to me the aem is better quality. And you can Change the color of the face if you want to black.

im also a big fan of the Autometer Ultra Lite wide band, matches stock gauges really well, looks awesome at night. works really well, also has the optional data logging wires if you want, which the aem does too i think. i think aem makes quality stuff, i think the Autometer gauge is a little better but the biggest thing i think is how well it matches your interior, that may or may not matter to you.

autometer but to me the aem is better quality.

I have to respectfully disagree. All of the big horsepower (1000+) cars I know, sponsored or not, run Autometer. If AEM was better, they would run that, as at that kind of power, they need absolute accuracy and reliability.

I agree 100%

My autometer I think could be better, my AEM has no flaws at all. And not all pros use autometer, everyone I know who races uses Prosports mostly. But you can't just say they suck because you know of someone who uses something different.

In the end they are the same. You are buying the name. But I have 3 autometer gauges and 1 AEM wideband. The AEM sells as good as it does for a reason. I know tons of people with them.

outlaw is probably right - more than likely, they all use the same sensor. i base that on absolutely nothing but speculation. its all in how you want the data displayed, and the reliability of the display unit (physical gauge).

You couldnt get me to put a Prosport in anything I own ever again. I have had HORRIBLE luck out of them.

i have a aem but never really had the chance to get the bung welded into the exhaust to hook it up yet, i have only hear good things of the aem uego whereas i have not really heard anything about autometer widebands

Innovate is a great solution.. I have one of those.. Have used the aem. It's very easy! Also I have a Plx.. Pretty nice as well

LOL! I used too. And your right, it is. I have two complaints though. It doesn't match the interior (which may not be a big deal for others), and you have to calibrate it when you change O2 sensors, or set it up (again, not a big deal, just an peeve)

We use AEM Uego's on every car we build here. I suggest them as they work very well and are available everywhere.

I'm have a Prosport here waiting for install. The main reasons I went with it is because I'm now able to have all the gauges match and I like the needle vs a digital number, So basically all appearence reasons

with that said anyone find a how to install a Wide band on here?
