I am wondering where i can buy a fuel filter for the mp3??? i guess besides the dealer but i have looked everywhere aftermarket and cannot find one. Its located on the firewall with three hoses coming off the top and nothing coming out of the base. I have not seen any like it online or thru part stores (autozone, advan..) Any help would be greatly appreciated. And no "she" is not preformanced besides the racingheart:confused:

the fuel filter is in the tank attached to the pump if you could take a pic of what ur talkin about that would help

the MSP/MP3/P5/ES does not have a fuel filter. Its a strainer, its in the fuel tank at the bottom like twistert said. its the white mesh bag at the bottom of the fuel pump.....you will almost never need to really replace it.

There IS a fuel filter and it's part of the fuel pump housing. That "sock" you are talking about is a first means of filtering...

Fuel pump housing??? please explain, you have me picturing in my head the cylinder of the fuel pump.....so you saying inside the casing is a fuel filter?..........ohh wait.....you know what you disconnect the fuel pump from the assembly....is the fuel filter in there? if so then okay i can see that being some sort of high pressure filter....but those do not tend to go on you....

True for the high pressure filter! But it's only 50$ from online mazda parts.

Good to know, don't think I will ever pull out that fuel pump again to replace that fuel filter. swapping the Walbro pump in there wasn't too fun.....for those that do either change the fuel filter or the pump......!!!use a no.2 phillips screw driver and be very careful those screws are very soft!!!

you will NEVER **** the screws up if you use a #2 tip with an impact driver
I did that with a MSP that has 180k on it and it all went out easy... not a single screw stripped

you voided the walbro's warranty by not replacing the filters btw

Jeez bro, wash the sand outta your vagina. why would you use an impact driver to take out soft screws anyway(hand)..lol....you just don't make sense with that................none the less SOFT Screws is the keys words.

the walbro warranty wouldn't apply to me champ i am a walbro vendor.

grow up bro then reply to a post of mine.

but thank you for helping out the community with your detailed pics of where the high pressure fuel filter is. I applaud you on that.

now who is the one that has their panties in a knot? I didn't say anything wrong and it's not my fault you don't know what an impact driver is or does

why did I use an impact driver? because the screws are on tight and round off easily, duh!

lol your a cool guy theMAN. you just come off like a douche...your right maybe i shoulda used a impact driver but i got it off without rounding the screws. I just wanted other people on the boards to know the screws are very soft to begin with.

Note to others; if you want to save some hassle, buy some M4 0.7 bolts (as short as you can find) and replace those POS screws with them. I bought some and used a small washer to make them fit; will never have issues with those screws (which ALL stripped/rusted on me; extracted/drilled out every one of them).
