Look what I ran at the track last night!!! SWEET!!!

Well unknown to anyone else, I decided to make the trip down to LVD tonight with a few other people in my club. It was my first time ever at the track, so naturally I was VERY nervous to say the least.

Here's the deal with my car:
1) CEL light on...
2) Coolant leak
3) Blad tires = NO TRACTION (just look at my 60')

I was able to make 3 passes and these were the results. I dont have a digi cam so tomorrow im gonna have someone take some shots of the slips so I can post them up, so you can see all the info besides 60ft, 1/4 mile time, 1/4 mile speed.

Run 1:
R/T: 0.484
60': 2.415
1/4: 14.556
MPH: 97.41

Run 2:
R/T: 0.525
60': 2.783
1/4: 15.284
MPH: 87.28

Run 3:
R/T: 0.483
60': 2.499
1/4: 14.513
MPH: 98.31

My second run, my drivers side front tires rolled through the water, which caused me to spin through 1st, 2nd, and into 3rd....

keep going you can get better times! Your at your max how ever your car is not. If you need tips on faster lights or shifting let me know!

great idea. take a car with problems and malfunctioning safety equipment to the track

not to be a dick, but don't u think it should be faster w/ 11psi?
either way i know it was your first time, i am just trying to get a feel for how these cars are

Disagree ..with this quote it was not psi it was driver, not saying that your times are bad. For a beginer you did well I think you need to tighten your shifts and loose some weight (your car ) MSP tend to drag in the quarter becasue there not torq monsters, I would say if want to see what your car can real do power shift and get 15 or 16 light weight wheels go on a cool day and ice the pipes while waiting to stage !!

11psi...catback exhaust..do you want to see the vid of the guy running 11psi with no DP and stock cats? his motor goes boom.

other than that pretty good times for bald tires and first time at the track :) keep it up and get exhaust. the stock backpressure is already high at stock boost and the heat from 11psi needs to get out of the cylinder faster. You eventually run the risk of prematurely blowing the head gasket and motor.
