Man, after two months of searching, I finally found her!! I've seen a few verts down here in S. Florida and they are all crap, people just lie to try to sell their car. I'd almost settled for a white vert and then low and behold.... Here she is...Black on black S5 vert!! Clean, clean, clean!! It has 157k miles, and mostly stock, except the drop in K&N filter and RacingBeat downpipe and presilencer. I paid 3K for it, a bit more than I'd like to spend, but considering the condition it's in, it's all worth it. I flew up to Tampa last Sunday and drove her down to Miami, man, is she smooth! I had to be careful and keep an eye on the speedo, cause how fast and quiet the engine is, and in no time I was doing 90! Many had said that the stocker radio sucks, but to me, they're not bad at all. And what's really cool are the built in speakers in the headrest, on the drive home, I had the top down, and I can hear the music just fine. The first thing that's gotta go is the stock shifter, in my P5 I have a Kartboy and the stock in the 7 is just not cutting it. Anyone have one for sale? Future mods? Haven't thought about that yet, maybe Turbo?!

because if he drove - he'd have 2 cars and I'd assume he just went by himself and not a passenger so they could drive it back

if you want to get rid of that seat i'll take it, mine is trashed from the previous owner.

I would have just taken Amtrak from Miami to Tampa. It probably would have only been like $30-35 one-way.

Anyways, congrats on the purchase!!

Sorry Rx7Chad, I have no plans on replacing the seats. The seats itself was only a bit worn-in and dry and hard, so I put some of that oil you put on the baseball gloves, and now they are just like new, nice and soft!

Thanks!!
I thought about that, but I didn't want to waste too much time riding Amtrak and then having to drive the car home, it would of been about 8 hours time up and back. The plane tickets weren't that expensive, it only cost me about $50 one way, so if the car didn't check out, I could just get on a plane and fly back within an hour. Luckily, everything was just as the seller had said it was about this beauty.

Makes sense if it was only $50 one way for the flight.

I'm a staunch supporter of rail travel, and enjoy it greaty. I vastly prefer the train over the plane, and would choose a long (10+ hour) train ride over a 2-3 hour flight. It's so much more relaxing, you have plenty of room in your seat, and you can get up and walk around easily. And the best part is you get to watch the landscape go by. To me, the journey is part of the destination. I like to see where I am going, rather than taking off on a flight near me and then landing in an unfamiliar location. IMO, it's really cool to see how the landscape gradually changes as you ride the train.

That's why I love long drives :D

Don't get me wrong, I love driving and catching all of the beauty that the USA has to offer, but have you been down to S. Florida before? It's FLAT! Nowadays, I don't have much time to spare, and I was very eager to get the 7 so I flew up and the drove down, and it was a joy driving my new baby all four hours. As a matter of fact, my wife and I did a road trip back in Oct. up the east coast of the U.S in the P5 and we took our sweet old time and enjoy every minute of it. So, I am totally with you as far as savoring the land as it changes from region to region.

I've always loved the Seven convertibles! Looks good :)

Thanks! I've always loved it as well, ever since it came out in '88, but to bad I was too young and too broke to own one. Now one of my dreams are fulfilled.

Man, the weather's been soooo nice down here in S. Florida, I'm getting alot of uses out of the vert.
