07 Mazda 5 on order. Is there any difference in trims or accessories ?
Is there a reason why you didn't purchase a 06..

I am also waiting to get a 07 instead of 06 ..

Mostly, the only reason I ordered rather than taking one off the lot is that it'll be my first new car and A) I'm particular about my options (MT, White, DVD, Sirius) and B) I like the idea of taking it straight off the truck with < 5 miles on the ODO. Also, theoretically, usually many first year bugs are worked out by the next year. It just so happens that because of the 3-4 month waiting period for new orders (yes, it's that long), the MY that'll be out by that time will be an 07MY. Sales manager who does the ordering at my dealership said all orders being taken from this point forward are 07MY.

Yes, there will be a difference in the 07MY. I've heard from elsewhere on this board that Cardinal Red and Carbon Gray Mica will no longer be offered. They're being replaced by Galaxy Gray and Dark Plum Mica. I have no idea what Dark Plum Mica looks like, but Galaxy Gray is currently available on the 06 MX-5 Miata if you wanna see what it looks like (It's somewhere between Platinum Silver and Carbon Gray).

There will also be an addition of the Grand Touring (GT) trim on top of the Touring. This is official, dealer showed me documentation from Mazda concerning it. No pricing for any 07MY's have been released yet, but the GT trim is slated to add heated, leather seats (supposedly an "Expresso Brown" color) and Xenon HID headlights standard. GT pricing will probably be in the neighborhood of $21k, but that's nothing more than an educated guess.
