I'm trying to decide if I should get an amp with speaker level inputs or run a LOC behind the unit itself. Is there any disadvantage/advantages either way. I want the cleanest sound possible using A non-Bose Speed3 Stock Head-Unit. Also How do I hook up my sub woofer with David Navone FOUR CHANNEL OEM TO AFTERMARKET STEREO ADAPTER NE-774V . This is 4 channel and with a sub, that's at least 5 channels? Can I have a Stock Head-unit and the fader with a Sub?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Don't Use The Stock Head Unit!!

I made this mistake and tried to keep the whole thing stock and stealth....

I used some high quality LOC to run both front and rear channel into my PG Tantrum 400.0 four channel amp...BAD CALL.

The stock head unit cuts out everything below 45Hz in a preamp that can't be by-passed and as such the bass is GARBAGE and the sound is generally flat.

You will lose your ambiant and exterior temp gauge as well as your mileage computer by pulling the stock HU but if you are an sort of an audiophile - you'll realize it's worth it.

I just scrapped 100 hours of work outta my 3 because i am putting in a aftermarket and this necessitates re-wiring and so on and so forth...(freak)

But it will make all the difference in the world.

^^^^btw you dont have to lose your temp guage ect i kept mine let me find the thread i posted a how to on this.....if you need a talk through pm me and ill give you a number you can reach me at for help...

but regarding the post....a loc is not what i would reccomend for best sound....with the bose system you must run all new wires to the speakers and to bypass the stock bose amp....if you are going to replace the cd player and not use the boss amp.....i can go more in detail for you if you want....pm me and ill help as much as possable.....
