So, seeing as I'm hoping to be FMIC soon, and I lost my fog delete due to the incident which you can see the result of in the pics below (I'm working on it, gimme some time lol) I came up with an idea for mounting a license plate (yeah, they're required by my state, just about the only bad thing about living here as far as cars... other than snow)...

So I stopped off at the hardware store, picked up a section of 1/8" by 3/4" aluminum, and 2 aluminum screws and nuts... I didn't take pics in process, but its fairly self explanatory.... Measure, cut, put in a vice to bend... measure again...

FYI, it is mounted to the car using what I have to assume is a fog light bracket mounting point.

Its not perfect, I wanted both arms to mount to a common point for strength, but I may make another version with the arm to the outer side of the plate mounting to the fog area, and then build an arm off of that a couple inches out for the inner side so that the plate ends up closer to the bumper, and moves a couple of inches toward the center of the car also.

Tell me what you think!

Looks good. I've thinking about this as well but I have a foglight. I'm considering making one that retracts back under the front of the bumper

man closer to the center and that will look damn good i like where you are going with it for you guys that would need it i also dont need one where im at haha

no holes is definately a power move man but i think a coupe inches will do the trick

^haha, a couple inches will do the trick eh? Waiting for the "flaming to begin!" Love the way you said that.

Either way, love the concept you've got going on but no front plates needed here as well.

you put all this time into this when in WI they will be removing the front plate law...that sucks. drive without it till you get caught, then put it back on and get the ticket dropped. then simply remove it again :)...or just dont run one cause they look lame

lol.. i hate the front plate thing in ohio.. i dont run one on my caddy though.. i guess the mixture of black cad on 20 inch wheels and black tint leads them to believe its too much work to stop that car.. haha.. but that looks nice.. i like seeing when ppl make things like this
