So, seeing as I'm hoping to be FMIC soon, and I lost my fog delete due to the incident which you can see the result of in the pics below (I'm working on it, gimme some time lol) I came up with an idea for mounting a license plate (yeah, they're required by my state, just about the only bad thing about living here as far as cars... other than snow)...
So I stopped off at the hardware store, picked up a section of 1/8" by 3/4" aluminum, and 2 aluminum screws and nuts... I didn't take pics in process, but its fairly self explanatory.... Measure, cut, put in a vice to bend... measure again...
FYI, it is mounted to the car using what I have to assume is a fog light bracket mounting point.
Its not perfect, I wanted both arms to mount to a common point for strength, but I may make another version with the arm to the outer side of the plate mounting to the fog area, and then build an arm off of that a couple inches out for the inner side so that the plate ends up closer to the bumper, and moves a couple of inches toward the center of the car also.
Tell me what you think!
