We have Maya Unlimited on all the computers at the school I go to. Unfortunately, it costs $8k! (wow)

A good place to check out some professional CG stuff is www.cgtalk.com (where that last pic came from). I'm a member on there & I check it out a couple times a week because there is always something new & the stuff those people do is AMAZING!
