License plate light issue

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that one of my license plate lights were out. I bought new LED bulbs and placed them in but it's still out. I switched the bulbs, thinking that I may have received a dead bulb but that also didn't work. I don't think it's an issue with the fuse, since the right side works fine. Will I need to bring the car in for an inspection?

Yep, if it was the fuse, your right-side marker lamps would be out, too. If you have a meter, use it to see if you have voltage at the socket. If not, it's probably time for a dealer trip. If so, it's something with the lamp. Do you still have the originals?

try a standard lamp before you do anything else

I probably don't have the original bulbs anymore. I'll stop by the store and pick some up. Thanks guys.

Just a reminder -- LEDs are polarity-sensitive. Try reversing the lamp.
