He is selling it. It is going to an MSP owner and getting boosted so the owner can rebuild/forge his original MSP engine.

spamming this lovely thread up slightly, i've been thinking (and that's a bad thing). would it be at all possible to run a twin turbo setup (with a small and a large one, sequential i think?) with the room left after the KL goes in? i ask this because i think it would be rather neat to have it putting 280 hp out, like that MPS concept back before the 3 and 6 came along... just brainstorming. I did also think about a TMIC but come to think of it, i remember you saying (Evan) that the KL was hella close to the old hood as it was? not sure if BRIAN would be a better person to bounce these questions off of but you're the most involved KL swapper i can think of. BRIAN is more 4 cylinder madness. Either way, whatever the resulting answer happens to be, I get to wait till April next year to think about getting a protege of any sort... Dad's outta state so im saving $$$ by using his car! :D

Why a top mount? Hello heat soak city. If anything, I was trying to talk him into a high mount setup like Powered By Max makes for the 240's. Crazy short piping, and awesome heat exchange potential ftw.

The only issue is room, and pipe routing because the motor is mounted sideways.

Would that fit Wes? Looking under my hood I think the piping would be best if the inlet/outlet were on the same side. The turbo's going up front driver's side yes? That would make the IM and the turbo's outlet like 8 inches apart? I suppose if you grinded out the grill you could stuff a mid mount or a higher up intercooler. Top mount is outta the question unless you use a different than stock hood.
I think it be easier to just run a FMIC down low, maybe even lower than the rad. Or just start cutting holes all over that perfect bodied protege...

If you were really cool you'd use a small thick core and make a vertical mount where the fuse panel is. Though that may not be enough area... Then have the air intake in the fender below...

There's no way I would want to try to cram the intercooler in the grill location. There's just no room with a KL swapped P5. I'm pretty sure a few guys have twin turbo'ed their Probe GT but they have a lot more room under the hood.

But Teeson, you're right about the intercooler inlet/outlet being on the same side. That's what I'm going to do when it's turbo time. Just run all the piping on the drivers side.

The motor pull went well, Nick. Actually, really easy. Everything came out nice and smoothly. I took the day off today but will be back at it tomorrow, pulling the harness. There's a small spot of rust on the pass side strut tower I'm going to clean up and Por15. Then I'll spray the engine back semi-gloss black again. The factory color is kinda gray.

I think Wes snapped a couple pics.
