Yeah, it is a fad. But I like the funny stickers, not the "illest, stance, fatlace" stickers. And I don't want other enthusiasts to take my car so seriously. You would be surprised when I see a really nice car around here and give them the thumbs up or say "Great car!" they think I'm being a d-bag or want to race. heh-heh

Where did that whole philosophy come from? I mean, it's obvious we're both into the same hobby, so that's pretty cool. But why the dirty glare? Little weiner perhaps? I don't know... Heh-heh. It's all good though.

Well, I'm having some real problems with traction this evening. With all the added horse powa!

Haha I love those stickers. Especially the I'm not drunk bit haha.

The KL is looking awesome man. You make me want to spend too much money and time on my car haha

LOL, I got them from iHateStickers.com (Thanks for the link, Levi).

Jay, I have a different outlook when it comes to cars, I don't really buy them with any intention on selling them again. Even my Milly will be with me until the frame rusts and collapses. heh-heh. I like the KL swap a lot and I adore my car, but it's still FWD (not that there is anything wrong with that because lots of race cars are still FWD) and mine is still slow and a wagon. But I've always loved the Protege5 since I first saw one at a dealership in 2002. I still love the way it looks when I'm walking to it in a parking lot. And it's a fun car to drive. A lot of cats are like "Why did you spend $4k on a FWD wagon when you could've bought a Miata or RX-7/8?". I just like wagons and always have. I like being a little different. :)

I'm sorry for the miss placed question. But I can't seem to find the answers in any protege swap forum.

Which transmissions can you choose from? I know the mx-6. Any otheres?
Which Axles do you use?
Which mounts did you use from which engine. Your first page said 4 aftermarket mounts. but were they for the fsde or some other car?

No problem, mate

Probe GT, 626 and pretty much anything with a KL

Do you have a 2.0l motor? I don't know my Protege's too well. If you have an FS you can use your stock axles.

The FSDE motor mounts will fit just fine. You just use all the FS mounts for the KL and chassis. The mounts that come on the KL are a little wider so you need to switch those four out with your FS mounts. But it's worth upgrading to aftermarket mounts while you have easy access to them, especially the rear mount.

I have stickers, CF mirror covers and a digital battery voltage meter. Yes, I'm a ricer. :D

Dude this swap is easy then! LOL

Thank you for the answers with no smart ass responses. I truly appreciate it!

Hey Lewis - you went with aftermarket mounts I saw. But - think I could get away with just solid filling the mounts from the FS, and use those with the KL? Or would that produce some nasty vibrations?

Think those axles from my ATX 2.0 will work with the ATX 2.5?

I'm sure you could... but just because you can, doesn't always mean you should...
