Ordered a Corksport Power Series exhaust. I had to sell my beloved Spector 5-string bass to fund the exhaust, but it wasn't getting played much anyway. It should be here tomorrow and I'll install it tomorrow night. It's a header back design and comes with motor mount inserts which I'm sure will be a hoot to install friday night. But I'm so excited to get rid of this rattle in my exhaust.

Then I'll probably be putting my MAM catless midpipe and the GReddy axle back up for sale. I'll probably just throw out the mid section and resonator.

I had to cut it off with your grinder... Plus you don't want that rattle! I don't even think the rear section/muffler is salvageable anymore. More rusted bolts+grinder= cut up flange.

However, the Corksport exhaust is on. It's freakin loud. And its got the angry bees tone to it, I'll have to buy another resonator and weld it in soon. And I couldn't get the rear hangers to line up with the bumper perfectly, so I trimmed the bumper with my Dremel. But it sure does look good! I'd post pics or a video but I think we have enough Corksport pics/vids out there. heh-heh

*edit* I'm gonna post a pics anyway just for s**** and giggles.

And here's what I think about GReddy's bad resonators and their bad customer service...

I don't think a resonator is necessarily going to kill that sound. It may kill the potential power gains tho. I'll talk to Jason to see what he says.

s*** son... have you not seen my exhaust? Half of it is held together with random bits laying around in the garage. LOL. I just think it's fun putting silly parts on my sh*tbox.

Hahaha! I mean, you do have a point. It's not that bad, we could patch it up and bolt it in. Are you still rocking hose clamps and duct tape?

Hey that is a nice car. I am looking at the same wheel setup but 215/40/17. Just had a question for an experienced member. Do you rub at all with that setup width wise? It almost looks as if my wheels will barely fit with the stockers on it so I was wondering if rear fender roll is necessary to run 215s.

Depends on your offset. I'm running 215's on my MSP Enkei-Harts with no potential rubbing. Of course, I'm missing part of my fenders too...

Unless he's changed tires he SHOULD be running 215/40R17 Kumho Ecsta SPT's. I know this because those are my old wheels and tires from my old P5 :) I didn't have any problems with rubbing on Tein S-Tech springs and about -1 degree of camber all around. To go wider you would need a higher offset and going with a lower offset on a 7" wheel would require additional camber that may not be available with a stock setup (i.e. requiring coilovers or camber plates/bolts). This is a basic guideline, of course there are exceptions if you want to get crazy with fender and suspension geometry modifications

im running 205/50's and had crazy rubbing in the back, rolled the fender flat and no more problems :)
205/50's are alot bigger then most people think lol i cant wait to get smaller tires

Depends on your offset. My Enkeis are 45+ and they rubbed in the rear if I had a passenger and more than 40lbs in the trunk. But since I've recently rolled my fenders with a professional fender roller, I don't have to worry abot it anymore.

Enkei RPF1's are great wheels. I got them used from a member on here for $1000 with tires. Light weight wheels are wonderful. If you have the extra cash, they are well worth it.

*edit* Yup, I'm still running the same tires, Jon. I'm also running no negative camber, so that's probably why I was rubbing and you weren't. I just got another compliment on them today at the Dyno-day so I should pay it forward to you! But you know they are great wheels, that's wy you bough a second set for the RX-7.

Speaking of the Dyno-day. My P5 managed 115hp @ 6500rpm on the Mustang Dyno today. I forgot to look at the torque because I was thrilled with achieving over 100 wheel horsepower (haha!), but my friend said it was 113lbs of torque. The dyno graph showed I was still pulling past 6500rpm but I wanted to take it easy on my motor. She's got 124k miles on her and may be one of the last FS-DE's that doesn't burn a quart of oil every 7 miles...

I'll post the dyno graphs when I receive them.

Haha, lucky!

Man... you've got a good motor...but until you destroy the alternator belt and roll at peak temperature for multiple miles...

wow i didnt realize our cars hp is that low. wonder what ill be pushing after cams, cam gears, lightened pulley kit. i went from an 02 wrx with upgraded greddy t51, dynoed at 536 hp to a pro5 so it was a huge downgrade. but of course everything good eventually comes to an end, got rear ended. but i like my pro5. new project(thumb)

Every time I drive my Bullitt I remember what torque is. P5s are slow, but they are great at what they do.
