^^^ Good point. :) And thanks for posting that video. Feel free to post any info, pics, video and such of your P5 in here too, mate. Like I said, it's inspirational. heh-heh

I went to Josh's house last night to check out his new P5. I'm so jealous his is so clean... Haha! But it's great to have other P5 enthusiasts around with all the FS-DE and P5 bashing on the forums. I don't give a frak what people say, I love my P5.

Even though you're swapping, your FS-DE passion/motor will live on!!! (as long as I can hold off another month...lol)

I'll be honest, on the way home I was thinking "Fark it, I've got some extra money and really need to focus on the swap and get it done already. Then Josh can have my motor. And who knows, maybe I can still attend The Mitty, hopefully with a swapped KL." I've got a buddy at work who wouldn't picking me up/dropping me off. And I'm buying the headers right now on my lunch break. Then I'll order the bolts to mate the tranny to the motor and I can at least put the motor in. I still need to deal with the wiring nightmare though. That, I have been procrastinating on...

Dub, seriously, go play elsewhere, man. I don't s*** in your slammed thread, do I?

Yeah dude... I may need my engine stand soon. LOL.

But seriously... the Civic is running and ready to go as a loaner if needed.

little engine bar? the protege a slightly larger engine bay than the mx6/probe, atleast from "frame rail" to "frame rail" The said cars have slightly more space front to back than the protege, but overall the same size bay. And with the mount locations being the same and wiring routing, and many other factors it makes you wonder why the protege never came with a v6 to begin with. Oh well.

Keep up the good work and if you need any help you know where to go...

I was just giving him a hard time. @ the cookout a few weeks ago, I told him he'd have to get a shoe horn to get that motor in.

I know you were just kidding around, Chris. No worries, mate. And thanks again for all the help/advice, Justin. It means a lot. Speaking of which, do we need to have a metal gasket between the tranny bell housing and motor? I'm at work and don't have my manuals, I'm just putting together a parts list so I can mate the two. And hopefully the halfshaft still lines up...

Oh darn, twist my arm to borrow your B18C5 swapped EK Civic... Thanks, buddy!

Dammit. I totally forgot to look at your seat bracket yesterday!?

My seats bracket? I know you said you have a busted one but I have Recaro's with custom brackets so they won't help much. I'll check the garage for some spare parts tonight though.

Fark it. The swap begins next weekend, April 22nd. I just need to order some bolts, hoses, and radiator. Then Josh can pick up my motor, Rob can pick up my trans and Chris can pick up my MP3 ECU. Then I can sell off some other FS-DE parts to fund any unforeseen expensenses. My P5 might not make it to the Mitty but I need to stop dragging my feet and get wrenching. heh-heh

Josh, did I see a welder in your garage? ;)

If the KL comes with a metal starter plate/gasket then I do not have it and have no problems. I do know the type of gasket you speak of though. The only plate i bought for the bell housing was the dust shield for the bottom side of the bell housing that sticks down past the bottom of the block, but it didnt act as a spacer.
