Remember the letter I wrote Mazda ages back! 3 pages of a history of the Clunk with my car

Well, while I missed the call, some guy from Mazda Of Canada left a message on my machine at work today. My letter has apparantly made it's way up the latter so to speak. Seems they are investigating it more ( whatever that means) and are going to call me back. Of course, he never left a phone number or anything.

I will not rest until this thing is resolved whether I'm driving the MP3 still or not.

I actually went to the dealer today to check on the status of my speed.....that's another story. But, Mazda of Canada has contacted them as well, fax'd a copy of my letter, and apparrantly I stirred up some sort of noise somewhere. I just hope this doesn't backfire, and I piss off my dealer. They've been awesome to me so far.

They called the manager of my dealer and had an interesting converstaion

MOC: "so, how many bushings have you replaced for this owner?"

Dealer " Well, we replaced about 8 or 9 out our expense, and you guys replaced a few at your expense as well bla bla"

MOC: Oh, well let me check the computer then.......lets see..... at xxx kms/ xx date bushings redone....then again at xxx date then again at xxxxx then again.......then oil change and bushings...then again...repeat 12 times, then rear struts/bushings , then links/bushings, then sway bar/bushings, the mounts etc etc etc....OH MY she says"

Dealer: Yeah, that's what we've been trying to tell you for 1 year and half.

MOC: Ok, I'll check this and that and get back to you bla bla bla


funny s*** man. Like how many f'n times does someone have to be at the garage in order to for Mazda of Canada to get HINT!

I guess this will be the true test of what Mazda really is as a company. How serious are they about the MAzdaspeed franchise, I guess we'll see.

Well, just to make everyone aware...I also wrote a two page letter to Mazda at beginning of December...A rep from Mazda Canada called me and was very helpful...this week they changed my bushings for the third time...they reset my comp on the car because my MP3 was jerking after 5500rpms...to top it all off...next month they are going to replace my clutch..putting new parts in my transmission because of the grinding between 2-3 gear...they are also going to replace the bushings in my front suspension..

My letter also worked...I am very impressed with the reaction I got from Mazda...changed the way I used to see Mazda...Seems as though they are backing up their product..good stuff....(drinks)

I actually go to the one in St-Constant (South Shore)...They were very helpful but I am sure my letter pushed them a bit...

No Mods done to my car yet...I was thinking about the CAI and short shifter but with all the problems I was having with my car, I didn't want them to blame the mods for the problems...

I am so upset right now, I could ******* kill someone. I am rather pissed off, so bare with me.

I mentioned Friday, I gotta call from Mazda of Canada from some idiot that can't even speak english....hanson someone or other.

He left a message on my machine saying, "were looking into it, we'll call back" he never left a phone # or anything, just that.

So, after work today, I get home, there's another message.

"We have been in contact with your service Rep, he has explained to us that your car is fixed??? :wtf: and that the only explanation was that the latest part number 156D, same bushing that's on the new speeds is working, and fixed it. So, we are closing the file on your car, marking it as complete, and you will recieve a letter of confimation explaining the investigation ( like 3 hours worth !). We at Mazda of Canada are proud of our cars, and stand behind our products bla bla bla, glad to be able to help you out....bla bla...... bulls*** Never left a phone number AGAIN, never mentioned about me calling him, or ME back. 17 months of this, and they can't even try to talk to me. They have my work number, and house number.

I got the message, 4:30. I was at Mazda 4:32. VERY PISSED OFF. We had a bad storm today, so everyone was gone early...ARRRRRRG. I think I was doing 130 in a 50kph zone at one point.

I'm contacting my dealer Manager shortly, and asking him wtf is going on,this is nonsense. Yes, my car is not making a sound since the last fix. But, it's still the same bushings, 156D that I've had installed 3 times now, and the damn things are being held on by TAPE! So, Mazda is apparantly Happy with this, and it's going to last 4 yrs right? WRONG, I've done this 20 times before, it last 4-6 weeks, and that's it. Ican't beleive my service manager said this, I'm thinking something is fishy here. My dealer has been fantastic, mind you not perfect, but better then most, and I can't beleive they'd say that.

Mazda of Canada is STILL looking for an easy way out. I want to actually TALK to someone high up, this was the entire point.

My Mazdaspeed I have a deposit on.............well, there might just be a available speed in my area soon because my patience a ******* gone.

And ........ahh...forget it, I'm too pissed. I'm calling hom at home now.

Give em hell Newf!! Good Luck...My letter goes out tomorrow! to an actual rep from MNAO who responded to my recent praise letter for my dealership. My next letter is another praise for my dealership who have been nothing short of spectacular, but an absolut b**** session on my car, its issues, and Mazda's insistence on putting out cars with full knowledge of an obvious and constant problem. Thankfully, my great dealership also sells VW's...hmmmmm...R32 next?

newf. wow this noise stuff really got you pissed. but i guess it's way colder in canada then NJ. right now my MP3 is squeeking like two kids are having sex in it. i'm getting them changed this week (fri) and i hope you keep at it and get mazda to fix this s***!!

I got a call from my dealer today, saying that they got the parts (front, back S.Bar bushings and end link bushings). I told them that there are ppl that have changed the bushing over 5 or 6 times and still the problem is not fixed. but u knwo what they said........"Well, once ur warranty is out then u r going to end up payig for the bushings everytime, so u better consider buying extended warrenty". :wtf:. I ask them whther they could send a reprt ot mazda Canada saying that they couldnt solve this problem permanently, but the dude goes like " well, we dont send mazda any details unless they ask for it specifically" :bs:. i dont know why the F*** these ppl are still alive :mad:.
ne ways i go to fix an appointment to get it replaced soon. i live only 30 mins away from Mazda Canada and thought of going there in person to talk to some one but my buddy told me that it wont work out because the reception wotn let me go pass them to deal with top heads (RED HEADS). i guess if couple of us ( MP3 owners that live in toronto) go there together thy should do somethig...(because we all can explain to them and take them for a ride too) what u guys think?

go for it, the reason why I am getting so upset is the constant runaround with Mazda Canada. They just thing it's a little noise, and they dont' care. I don't think they even realize that the handling is effected, I got the impression from the message this guy left for me.....oh it's just a little rattle that'sall kind of attitute

HELLO! My car is being held together by TAPE! Otherwise my sway bar almost falls off and my handling is seriously reduced.
