Let's see some P5s dropped on stockies

hey sjdmp5. tein is a soft ride. well i could feel a difference. sorry they are stiffer than stock hehe. if i could compress the tein springs a little using my arms, they arent stiff lol. i have no idea of course about other brands though spool, eibach, etc. hope this could help you peace - chris

Your lowered PR5s look good! I'm thinking of doing it to my Yellow one as well.

So how/where do I go in getting it done (Bay Area, CA)? Will I need new shocks for this mod? Eibach, Spools... which one? How much (approx) for the entire mod (including installation)?

Thanks.

Teins

Hey all,

here's a pic of mine with the Teins (finally). I'm running the stockies with 205/45/16. They are not quite as tall as the stock size, so there is still a bit of a gap.

I like the ride of the Teins, but I need to get my LF lower control arm replaced and find someone that can align the car to the P5 specs. the guy that did it this time (NTB) was good, but he didn't have the P5 specs, so he had to do it with 1998 protege numbers. I don't know if they are much different, but the car seems to steer a little slower than stock. Also, my driveway is a little tilted so the front looks a little tall... :wtf:

Oh yeah, I removed the roof rack to see if my mpg improves. Gonna go to the races this weekend! Yeah! Anyone interested should come out. www.cmraracing.com

Question: When lowering a P5, will the camber/tow-in/tow-out get messed up in the rear? Say if lowering with an Eibach kit, will you have to also get new lower control arms and a panhard bar to correct it? I can't stand the look of bad lowering jobs....

i used the spools and not sure if you can tell from that pic or not but my wheels are not angled in like many hondas that go 2". I personally love the look of the car. My opinion is that it should have come like this from the factory. At least on the MP3 or Mazdaspeed. can't wait to get 18s though so I can get that lovely rear wheel tuck.

shawnthemonster has them i think. hit him up, i'm sure he'll help. he's a swell guy! hahahah... no really, shawn is cool.
