Lets get to tuning some cars with the AP...

The ECU will automatically adjust the stock tune for the additional airflow from the exhaust and intake mods. The problem you're going to have is that your CAI is throwing off your MAF calibration, causing the ECU to calculate the airflow incorrectly, resulting in the engine running lean.

This isn't too much of a problem at part throttle, because the ECU will correct by adding fuel with the fuel trims. At wide open throttle, the ECU doesn't correct with the fuel trims. With no changes to the tune to account for the additional airflow, the combination of an incorrect MAF calibration, and the increase in airflow from the mods will cause boost to go too high, AFRs will lean out, and EGTs will be hotter. The engine will be way more suseptable to knock, and to hitting boost and load cut to try to protect the engine.

Like the others have suggested, waiting to get a tune is definitely the safest way to go.

Thank you guys for all the input ! Speaking to another member of the forum about buying their accessport and that would mean tune day very soon

It's also worth mentioning that swapping to a catted or catless DP may cause boost spikes or creep since the car expects to have more backpressure from the stock cats. It's not as big of an issue on a catted DP, but a full catless setup requires a bit more care. Even stage 2 maps that are expecting a downpipe are usually set up for a catted one, so you might still have trouble with a catless DP. Boost spikes and creep are dangerous partially because it's harder on the internals, but primarily because you can lean out really bad if boost gets too high.

If you're self tuning with ATR or something similar you'll just need to cut the WG duty down and work your way back up to proper boost by adding small amounts of WG duty. Be careful not to exceed your fueling limits though! Keep an eye on HPFP pressure and injector duty and make sure they're both okay. If you're not going to tune it yourself it's definitely advisable to take it to a shop and get a protune ASAP, and try to stay out of boost until then.

Okay so I have my accessport on its way and saturday it will be in.

New question to ask.
What base map should I run with these parts installed until I get tuned a couple days later (pro-tuned)
Fujita CAI
Cobb TIP
Turbo smarts dual port Bov (recirc)
Greddy Ti-c
ATP full 3 inch DP (catless but isn't currently on because I'm waiting for AP)

If anyone could help out I'd be greatful for the help

Also thanks for all the information about running the cobb Ap before putting in the DP

I wouldn't do any maps without FP internals. I wouldn't do a tune without logging first and seeing what your fuel pressures are.

Thats my question wouldn't I be running a map to log my info with? What map would you run with those parts is the question, not what I could say to not help someone out

Unless you don't need a map to log I have never owned an accessport this was established in my first post just looking for help here not just someone to say don't do this or this. Sorta need an explanation

I would plug the accessport in and do a 3rd gear log, making sure to log AFR, DI fuel pressure, rpm, BAT, MAF g/s, MAF voltage, calculated load, and whatever else you want, and see what your fuel pressure does.

Map honestly won't matter a damn if your fuel pressures drop...........in which case you shouldn't go WOT until you install fp internals.

How does that work then? Do I just not add any map ? Cuz it asks what map to install right away . I am currently saving my stock map just to be safe but just am not sure how to do the logging with no map . Should I just add my stock map back in? Then log?

Just put in my DP and gettig tuned Monday put my car on a safe OTS map but my fuel pressure is reading atleast 1200 so far at the lowest (besides idle of when I'm just in 6th on the freeway cruisning) but even on the freeway I never drop below 1000 high900s ... Is my stock pump actually keeping up?This might be to good to be true

uh, you need to be doing a WOT log in 3rd gear.

At WOT, if your FP drops below 1600, you need to get fp internals and NOT go WOT until they're installed.

^^ yup, regardless of tune... stock, HT, ap guesses, cp standback, regardless
if the FP is not between 1600~1700 then the demand is exceeding supply, which is a big red flag

When i was watching mine i never saw mine that low at crusing or accelerating. It was always 1400-1700.
