2001 ford laser sr2
Hey

I wanted to know some peoples opinions for my car

Its a 2001 Ford Laser SR2. 2.0ltr stock motor with 5 speed manual. 61,034klms.

What i have done to it is, brand new 18'' chrome rims, custom full bodykit, twin exhaust, custom fiberglass boot install, polished motor, racing seats.

I wanted to know what people think its worth as im interested to see what people would pay for it.

This is my mates car but he is changing hes bodykit and got new projects for his so im going with his kit. mine is getting resprayed now so have no pics of it yet but also with the bodykit i am changing the rear. im filling in the number plate hole and leaving it on the boot. otherwise i have the same kit as the pics and i am getting the racing seats back of them painted the same colour as car aswell as my boot install.

So let me know what you think of it and what you think its worth, Thanks

It's very unique, i've never seen anything like it. I have no idea what it would be worth, especially in $AUS, but maybe 7-8 thousand $USD? Swapping the rear tails and hatch onto an American Protege5 would be cool, and very different.

yer its unique as i have made the car the way i wanted it. i would be hoping for atleast $14,000aud do you think thats to much. the car still has the new car smell. its in great condition and i have put heaps of money into it thats why i think its worth least $14,000.

I have no idea what the exchange rate is and am too lazy to look it up. If you find the right buyer it may be worth that but honestly when you mod it you are never going to get your money back and it's worth less when you sell it. Especially as modded as that blue one is, finding a buyer for that here in the US may be tough. Most people looking for P5s want something that is stock.

i dont know why i wouldnt get more money for doing a car up because if you buy a done up car you dont have to pay nomore so you dont mind paying a bit more in my opinion and i think in aus will be a bit diffrent in what cars people like and all that so yer just depends on how long i wait untilll the right buyer comes along.

some people dont want to buy others work, they want to start their own adventure with there car.

its a nice looking car ive never seen one before, but me i wouldnt give 10gs for it but thats me.
