Well, my whole goal for my wife's cx-7 is to make it look like it belongs with the $40,000 and $50,000 small SUV's out there like the X3, X5, RX440, etc. One thing that really upscales a car is LED's (I will be converting the whole tail light to LED eventually, but that's another day). I finally decided to put them down by the fog lights because it looks so clean. I was going to put them in the headlights like the new 350z and cadillacs, but the wife wanted no part of me breaking her weather seal on the lights. So I went to work and over the course of about 4 days had soldered, waterproofed, and wired something into the car that I was VERY happy with. And more importantly, she was VERY happy with. There are a total of 9 superbright 5mm LED's in each light placed at various locations to give the best visual effect for lighting. They are 50,000 lumens so they are even daylight visible which is what I was hoping for. But they really shine at night. They are lit as parking lights and as signal lights (this was a mission too). They look stunning and are flushed with the factory plastic so they look like they are OEM. I am going to do her side mirrors as well as soon as my amber LED's arrive. I am going to start selling these on ebay soon. They'll be available for cx7's with or without fog lights. Not sure on price yet, but the materials alone cost a bit. I am leaning towards $250. Let me know what you guys think.
