I'm interested in replacing the stock rear bulbs & turn signal bulbs on my CX-5 with LED bulbs. Has anyone tried this yet, and would there be any voltage issues? Thanks!

I bought me a set of LED Switchback blinkers for my cx-5. I'm glad I bought resistors too. When running LED's, the power consumption is much less. So you need to put resistors in. That way they can go burn off the extra power.

Load equalizers are required for the signals. The only LED bulbs on the market right now that's pre-made and worth a damn are V3 Tritons from V-LEDs.

You want quality lighting, you gotta pay to play. Nothing else on the market that will fit the 7440/7443 bulb openings will provide enough light in direct sunlight to be seen safely

Hi all, just want to ask is the Front & Rear Turn Signal LED Bulb are different type? And may I know which type is suitable for Mazda CX-5, 3157 & 7440? I need some clarification. Thanks!

Yes the front and rear are different bulbs. The front has one amber bulb for parking and turn, the rear uses one bulb for parking and stop and another amber bulb for turn.

The rear parking and stop light bulb is an easy replacement, no resistor needed for the LED's.

I had done it on my CX-7 without any issues but the dealer told me some cheap LED's don't have heat sinks and melt the sockets.

I've only done the DRL's on my CX-5 so far but the others will get changed in the future.

Thanks for the reply. So do you know the LED using on the Turn Signal Light is 7440 & 1157? And which type LED you use for the DRL on CX-5? Thanks!
