LED bulb question

Are they universal? I want to replace my sidemarkers and city lights with something brighter, should I use LED's or hyperwhite bulbs? If I use either is there anything special I have to do?

i wonder about that one too....i want some hyper white for my side markers...anyone out there?

From what I undstand, LED's are significanlty dimmer than their incandescent counterparts. Even though LEDs' lumens per watt is greater, it takes a significantly larger package to make it as bright, or brighter than an incandescent lamp. Stick to the incandescents lamps for the time being.
