I made a formal apology via PM for misinterpreting his initial post as a slam against the moderation staff, and asked that he note leave on the account of this. I do however, stand by my statement that the moderation staff is doing everything that we can with the current spam removal system that we have. The system does need to be streamlined however, and there are many members who had excellent suggestions. I did want to make it a point though to say that many moderators (taylor is an exemplary one) who work very hard to keep the site as spam free as it is. So, I think we need to be respectful of those who are dedicating their time outside of their home, work, and social life to keep this community running. That's why I might have been quick to take offense.
On another note, until we can get V-bulletin add-ons, spam control is really a community effort and we are encouraging all of the members to use the "report bad content" button to report spam threads. Hope this clears the situation up.

I have always valued your input very much and it would be missed. I had no idea what had happened but I think the OVERALL TONE of this thread is consistent. It was a misunderstanding and it's now water under the bridge.
(It's not like me with my $600 cam paperweights, that I allow myself to rant about until fully resolved)

Is google groups any better? I half assume it is since its from google. Just started a google group called NEPOC. Let me know if you want to do a yahoo group or something else instead and then I can send invites to all the people on our mailing list from whatever we decide.
