Daylight viewing does kinda suck in the texas sun but I think tinted windows would help that. Its not like I watch movies while I am driving though. Nightime this screen is AWESOME!.. a definate attention getter.

tinted window help, but the best thing to do is to turn the contrast all the way up also (you've probably figured that out already) since this isn't a transflective/reflective screen, this is the best we can do without modding the screen itself to make is psuedo reflective

This one is cool too, and it has a TV tuner built into it.

I got mine installed from an authorized dealer for $1350 With this one you have the in dash piece with the fold out screen and a brain that mounts under the seat for the AV ins and outs. It has two AV ins one that we mounted in the ash tray and another that is at the brain where i'll be wiring the PS2 up.

For those select few(ELEmental59437) who have the set up i want, how did you remount the head unit where the cig lighter and ash tray were?

i don't believe that elemental has aquired a HU yet to the best of my knowledge. . i know dex has a carputer setup coming and has relocated his HU down there. . .i don't plan on havin an HU and like my lcd setup just fine

remove the dashboard
cut out said area with dremel
fabricate brackets to hold the HU in place

After seeing your pictures Dexter I don't think anyone would purposly mess up a perfectly good dashboard just to mount a radio. Glad you got your car back together though.:D

I have always liked this one. Click Here.

Everything built in to one system.

i like that one a lot......reminds me of the OEM in dash nav/dvd from the sport20 which is what got me interested in having a LCD in the first place.

IN-DASH ... :D

my friend's install is not bad either...

his has a Necvox 7" widescreen (not retractable, but can be detached), and an external DVD player that he installed in the passenger side dash. he has a RFosgate deck underneath the screen. the RCA inputs are from his PS2.

I've got the Pioneer 6400 which is a 6.5 screen. You can get the 6500 which is touch screen but is also a 6.5 screen. I'm planning on changing my headunit to the 7500 which is 7 inches. I've had my 6400 for one and half years and no problem (knock knock wood).
