yeah, the Top mounted intercooler seems like it might cause some troubles, as the subarus with this seemed to have some heat soak problems, but I'm sure it's nothing a FMIC kit won't quickly fix, just too bad that you'll have to spend the money to do that, but then again, the heat soak might not be too bad, you never know just by looking at it, maybe there is some hella research in the design that helps it not heat soak....but prolly not, so look for an FMIC kit to be made quickly, maybe Mazda will get smart like Chrysler and start making factory upgrades available like on the SRT-4 and such.

Biggest problem with the MPS 6 is the curb weight (3589 with no options, 3650 with all options). That combined with the 215/45/18 on 18x7 tires/rims gives it rather piss poor traction.

If you replace the wheels/tires with some more sized 235 or 245/40/17 on 17x8's, it should be one of the best handling sedans out there...but as is stock, all the reviews are just bashing it with understeer that, and understeer that, I wouldn't be surprised if it beats the 6s's skidpad, but its going to have a really hard time matching or exceeding the 3045 lb 6i mtx's .89. (Measured over 1.0+ when lowered/dampered and with aggressive rubber)

I mean hell, its got the same tire profiling as a 2700 lb mazdaspeed protege!!! Lucky thanks to recent photos, we know we can definitely fit some fat rubber in those wheel wells .

I'll be glad to give my other $0.02 after mine arrives. The dealer told me last week that it should be here (Ottawa, Ontario) by the 2nd week of March (1st one in Ottawa, and one of the very first shipment). Black on black with leather. Already trying to decide what rims to put on it for the summer. There goes my tax refund.

We're not talking about what it's gonna look like once people start modding it. s*** man, I've seen some badass Scion xB'x, but stock they are ugly as unholy sin! The point the "haters" were trying to make is that this is a 3600 lb car that will be getting maybe 220 hp to the wheels. It's gonna get up and go, it's just gonna take a little longer than other cars in it's price range to get there.

Personally, I'd rather buy an rx-8 or 350z, or if I had a family, a TL or RL. We'll see how it actually performs in real life, I'm just not holding my breath.

p.s. what the hell were they thinking with those black plastic surrounds on the foglights. That just SCREAMS cheap.

Car looks better in motion, because you can't see those damn rims so much

Stock stereo=crap too.

I don't need a park bench for a spoiler either, and I don't have any use for a car sitting 1.5" from the ground, but COME ON. The stock 6 with stock ground effects/spoiler looks so much sexier then this and that car doesn't look anywhere near rice either.

I'm not buying it. I'll wait until 2006 and see what it looks like

I don't think it is...its prob a radiator.


Also what are the 4 lights in each headlight for.
Headlight, Highbeam, Turn signal....what else?

it's a top mounted intercooler (retards didn't put a hood scoop on it like the WRX so not enough cooling)....... although I'm sure an FMIC will be in the works for this by someone.......
