"Laser Shield" Plate covers?

The laser absorbing plate colors aren't colored at all, but they do make it a little hazy. My sister got pulled over twice for just a clear cover over her plates which was just on there to protect them.

But to the original thread...

A cheap clear license plate cover that is hazed by the sun (or knocked down w/ some 220 grit sandpapaer (grin) ) will reduce the reflectivity which will help reduce the range - to where you can slow down significantly...

Still, nothing works better than being the second fasted car out there! Don't be the one leading the pack fer garsh sakes!!

"and he can pull you over and say you were going a speed that you know you weren't going and slap a 279 dollar ticket in your face and there isn't much you can do, remember kids cops are above the law."

First of all, they have to show you the speed you were supposedly driving on the radar...secondly, they have to ask you if you want the radar calibrated (GA state law)...if they 1. don't offer to show it to you or 2. don't offer to calibrate the radar, you can fight it. i did...had a b**** for a judge that asked me "how fast do you THINK you were going"..."i dunno, 45?"..."fine, i'll charge you with that." so i had to pay a whopping $60 fine for going 10 over.

sorry for the confusion, i shouldnt have said 'licence plate cover.' rather, the laser jammer is built into the plastic piece that surrounds your licence plate. they cant said a damn thing about that.
