KYB GR2 struts

Hello, I am in need of some new struts and was thinking of taking the route on buying these KYB GR2 struts, has anyone installed these on their MP5? are they any good ? are they worth buying for a smoother ride? whats the life on them...

I have them on my Protege ES and am pretty happy with their handling and ride--it's pretty close to stock. Only I'd rather buy from RockAuto.com.

hhmmm, never heard of rockauto, website looks pretty cool.. thanks for the info. so these kyb-gr2 are somewhat like OEM? what other brands are good for a smooth ride, and can cut corners pretty tight? anyone...

Have had them on my car for a year now. Like them alot. I picked them up from Tire Rack.

In just installed them on my p5 last month. I have used them on other cars as well. They work great, and are not expensive. Bought them from Rockauto for a very reasonable price.

They are worth buying if all you look at is price. Otherwise you are downgrading from the stock setup

But you can afford to replace them twice as often as the stock struts, since they're twice as cheap.

There isn't a garage in the world that's gonna use OEM parts if you tell them to replace your struts - other than the dealer, but that's a (idhitit) I'm not gonna get in to...

No, but do a search on them. You will find plenty of info about them being cheap and a downgrade. I have no personal experience with them, i'm just relaying the info

Most of what I have seen says that KYB is pretty much equivalent to OEM. Also that Monroe is not as good as either. Of course I have never seen anything objective about this, just people's subjective opinions.

hhmmm is I were to buy some 17's and lower the vehicle it won't be wise for me to bye KYB, I would have to look at some toicko's?
