Keyless remote entry/ programming problems??

Ok so I just bought a used
2005 Mazda Mazda6 Sport Sedan from the stealership..
but it did NOT come with any remotes. Only 2 keys..
I bought one off of ebay, (a KEY and REMOTE in one, the one that flips out like a switchblade)

I'm trying to program the remote with the intructions they gave me...

with the Driver door open, switch the key to on and off 3 times... close and open the door 3 times.. blah blah...

The steps seem to be working until I go and press any button on the remote twice... It just doesn't do anything... the ECU is SUPPOSED to lock and unlock doors to confirm.. but nothing happens..

Could it be the fcc code thing doesn't match??
then again, i can't really match the new fcc code to nothing since i never had a remote... make sense??

The ebay page said it works with 05-07 mazda 6/rx8 and 06-07 mx5


If anyone understood that, please inform me of some information... Thanx in advance

here is the programming procedure.

shut door with key out of ignition. Insert key and open door. cycle key 3 times leaving off 3rd time. press door ajar button on b piller 3 times and door locks shoudl cycle twice. Then press any button on the remotes twice and then pull key out of ignition they are then programmed
