These are much better, and cheaper

This is what I ended up using. Sounds great, not a big investment. Paired with these in the rear http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-gz5pZfRKkHt/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=10&g=52100&I=113KFC1777&o=m&a=0 it sounds as good as I need it to (I'm using a Premier 840MP HU in combination as well.) These speakers sounds really good with ~20 WRMS of power to them. Still need to connect my sub for the lower 2 octaves..... then I'll be set.

The fronts are plug-n-play fit (including the OE rainshields.) The rears are as well, but didn't bother custom fitting the OE rainshields on the new speaks. Might do that just yet, though. :)

Good luck,
Jim

So is it a big improvement over the factory speakers? Basically I don't want to replace my factory speakers and say: OK, it does sound a little bit better... For that I leave it the way it is right now - stock.

I cant' tell you if you'll like them or not.... I'd suggest going somewhere local and listening to them in person. Take some favorite music on CD with you and see what you think.

Personally, for the money spent, they sound fantastic to my ears.

Almost any aftermarket replacement speaker will make a world of difference in your P5 - The OEM speakers are that BAD.

I used sets of Pioneer replacements, as they worked so well in my Miata, but any good quality speaker will make a plenty big enough difference to be worth the price, IMHO.
