Keeping the P5 clean

i found when you use the wax as you dry
stuff you get better results if you wax and buff before you start applying it on a regular basis. i usually give a good old fassion wax every three oh four months and use the armor all wax as you dry gel. on a side note if you go to a do it yourself place make sure they use hot filtered water.

do not use armor all...products are greasy and wont penetrate enough to give a good protection

use carnauba wax either brand (mothers or meguiars) they give a fantastic result on my silver 03 p5 i used the 1st (cleaning) and 2nd (polishing) waxing steps from mothers and for the 3rd step (wax itself) i used meguiars carnauba diamond wax

and for the rims...buy a good rim cleaning product (not too concentrate) and wax it after cleaning it

but the very first step is cleaning the car with a CAR soap not a dishwasher soap (I use meguiars gold class soap) and drying with a chamois (synthetic)

hope this will be helpful :P

P.S. for the interior (plastics and vinyl) use NXT products from meguiars...SOOOOOO SHINY and its not greasy at all :P

Just hand wash carefully with car wash soap and microfibre (not terry cloth), and then give it a good wax (using real wax) so that the dirt doesn't stick as bad next time.

Since you just got the car, it might be a good idea to claybar and polish the paint too, but make sure you check up on how to do it correctly.
