Wow, this is awsome.

So we have 7 ppl from the board showing?

Me (Running)
Thewrench (Running)
I Boost (Slacking - Dopi (lol2) )
Prodigy (Running)
apexlater (Running - will you at least drive the MP3 there?)
Rogue Pro5 (Running)
noclue119 (Running)

Kick ass guys! If it were allowed, I'd bring the beer, lol.

The Miata should be somewhat interesting this weekend...with it being Halloween and all.

JITB, did you register?

I will drive the MP3 out as a "support" vehicle on Sunday. I'm pretty sure I'll be running in the morning, but I usually hang around for some of the afternoon runs.

HEHEHE. I'm taking my msp. we will let the lap times tell the story of better suspensions.

85N to 316E
exit Sugarloaf Pkwy. turn right.
go down about 7-8miles just past hwy124/Scenic Hwy.

The grounds will be on your left.

They check to make sure that your car is up to snuff.

battery is not loose in the bay.
throttle and brake work.
nothing loose in car. ie:no floormats, hats, dirty magazines....
tires pressure (they kick it) and make sure no chord is showing.

make sure your numbers and class are on the car and that you have the "ApexBenefits.biz" sticker on both sides of your car.

If you are running time only you don't have a class, and if you are running novice they will give you the numbers to put on your car...

I'm running in the morning so I will wander around the paddock and help anyone out that needs it. I'll have my camelbak on and probably my Aussie hat. I'll be the other half-asian dude walking around.

i wonder if i should run with my stock 16". they have the same rubber as my 17" just 205 instead of 215. Yokohama AVS ES100s

or would it make much of a difference...but do want to save the tread on my daily wheels...

hmmmmm

PS - maybe i'll wear the shirt that matches my Avatar :D

After about the 7-8 miles, you'll come to a flashing traffic signal. Turn left there. It goes straight into the fairgrounds.

They only provide numbers for novices. If you run in class or time only, then you have to provide numbers. They MUST contrast the car and be visible for a good distance (rules state minimum 8" tall). You can use colored tape as long as it can be seen from a distance.

The apexbenefits.biz stickers (god awful looking sticker, lol) are provided for free on site.

Run with your stockers. Save the tread on your street wheels.

don't forget to take out your spare wheel and jack out of your trunk, and try not to have more than 1/3 tank of gas. Every gallon is ~8lbs in the ass-end of your car where you don't want it.

the gas thing is if you want to go hard-core...but it does help.

Alright, I'm all signed up. I'll probably run my 17s since they're mostly used up anyway.

BTW, how much does it cost to join SCCA anyway?

PFFT! you're no fun.

(BTW, I'm picking up that Miata motor tomorrow).

It's $75/yr, but that includes national and local costs. There are plenty of advantages of becoming a member (I'll end it here to avoid sounding like a salesman, lol).

BUt...i might stop by and watch tho...look out for me
That'll work. At least there will be a respectible number of Proteges running. I'm willing to offer a ride along for my first run (the other 3 have to be open because i'll be trying to lay the smack down).

Alrighty, here goes the bench racing. Ima lay the smack down, with only 116HP. I'll buy dinner (not too expensive, i choose, and it'll probably be mickyD's) to anyone who pulls a better time than me :p. hehe, I'm just screwing with you guys, with exception of dinner. drive on, ladies!! ;)

(hey, I have to talk some smack sometimes :D)

Any recommendations for my tire pressure?
I'll be running the stock wheels (minus hubcaps) and the stock tires (Potenza RE92 195/55/15).

I've heard 40psi front/45psi rear... but the recomendation for specifically for the protege.
