Kartboy Shifter Super Combo

I just e-mailed Kartboy about offering a combo package for their shifter/bushing/knob.

I received the e-mail back today and they have the new option on their website for the combo at $135. Great deal considering I've seen the B&M at $144, the TWM at $122 and Ithik the Pacesetter was more that either one. Those prices were just for the short shifter with nothing else.

I've also read that the Kartboy reduces the throw by a more conservative percentage than either the B&M or the TWM and that shortening the shift too much will put strain on the tranny synchros. If nothing else, I'm conservative, so that's cool for me!

Odering today, short shifting soon...

I also like Kartboy's materials that they use over ANY of the other ones. They use Chromoly Steel which has the right weight and strength but most importantly the right weight. I think shifting an aluminium shifter sucks-IMHO. its too light and has noe feel and it *can* break easier than chromoly steel. I had a shifter made fromt he same material as the KArtboy and I LOVED it! IT was strong and yet lighter than the stock unit on my 99' Civic Si(R).

I think that you should get the Kartboy because, of the above & its price!

if you're worried about breaking shifters in your car, it might be time to take it easy there, Spilner.
