Hey guys what CFM can our turbo make.. 550? 405? What, Just trying to compare to a 16g or 14b, DSM turbos.

I snatched the attached pdf from another forum. I can't vouch for its total accuracy. The author's math is right. If his flow calculations and assumptions are correct, the K04 will only flow 366 cfm on the compressor side.

That makes for a very quick responding system with minimal lag. This works well in a relatively low rpm environment with lots of torque, but would not support high rpm horsepower generation.

Larger snails and bigger compressor wheels may be an option on modded K04's or K04's made for other applications, but I don't know if such a modded turbo would fit our manifold or flow on the exhaust side without much bigger wastegate port.

HOLY CR@p, NO wonder the stocker has so much trouble above 5500 or so, damn smaller than a stock 1st gen eclipse 14B. :(.. thanx man,, I have been wondering about a turbo upgrade latly to get in the mid 300's WHP with out over heating the stocker, How the hell do guys get over 300 WHP with the stocker??

full bolt ons will get you 300
