... I stand by what i wrote. And you have to grant me the fact that the seats are no where near as comfortable as your old Jetta. ;)

They are definately NOT german seats - that I agree =o) If leather or an upgraded (ie: more supportive) seat package was avail as an option, we would have gone for it for sure.

ps - you will love the stick, if it wasn't mainly for my wife we would have gone that route in a heartbeat. Also - you may want to look more into the rumored different engine configurations that may (or may not) be coming for '07.

good luck!

I have a manual 5 and i have to say there is no other minivan out there that can peel out on third. It can hold it's own. (first)

I loved the engine. and any more power = more fuel consumption=more pollution= :( ( damn environmental ideals. )
If we can figure out the seats we'll buy it. and the wife can have the say on the extras and colour, but not the stick. :)

5 Alive

Hi

Great to hear the 5 Manual transmission is popular in this string. I do say the "on the CAM" feel at 3400 RPM is something I truly love.

So advise for anyone who wants to have a "longer test ride".... ask for a longer ride. I don't mind if you ask me for a re drive or even a 3rd time. Its your money stand up and ask ask ask.......

Cheers

i fully intend on asking for a longer test drive. One about 40-45 min long. I figure you can shake down a car in about that much time. Although a couple of hours behind the wheel would be ideal. like you said " it's your $". I just have to call around and find a 5spd tester.

test drive

hey theweev

If you drop in to Ottawa Ontario Performance Mazda I will let ya have a drive. But really you will only need 30-40 min.......

Cheers

...and actually a couple of days as I live in Vancouver. Cheers anyway. By the way keep up the good work kicking the Leafs ass. :)

well.....the update. just drove a GS 5 5speed. I am thrilled to announce the decision has been made. Man the 5spd brings that thing to life!!!!! crisp shifts, really light clutch and a hell of a lot better ride. let it be known...AUTOMATICS ARE EVIL! My wife loved it. Especially the light clutch action.

I'm still getting over the fact that I bought the auto because of my wife and she turned around a week after I brought the 5 home and bought herself a 3. Also an auto. Now I'm stuck with 2 autos! Still love the 5 though.
