I'm confused. Why are some people in Texas and Florida SUPPOSEDLY driving around in their brand new MSPs, yet there are problems with the intercooler piping? Did these few lucky people get their piping fixed? I hope!

Nobody in the usa/canada owns one of these. I just got off of the phone with mazda usa. Steve the delightfull(not) man i spoke with tells me that just yesterday the distributer had informed them that the cars will yet again be delayed. what a damn surprise. this time untill dec 7th. he went on to tell me how "the part manufacturer is not able to build the part. but that mazda is doing all that they can to fix this, but we may have to GET A NEW SUPPLIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! witch means that they would have to REDESIGN THE PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and that could push the release back another few months!!!! I swear this came strai out of the clowns mouth. I went on to tell him of the numerous people on this and other chats that have decided to get competitors cars, to which he replied that mazda will have no problems selling the limited number of units. obviously they care little about customer service at mazda usa.
well if this is true what do you want them to do????

Every one complains that the MP3 has the squeeking noise and say how can they seel a car that has problems. Now your saying i want my car NOW. they tell you we have a problem with it and are trying to fix it please wait. and your calling them assholes for dealying the car it to fix a bad part on it.
damn give them a break. they are looking to ifx a problem BEFORE you get it. so they don't have please driving the car and it break on you.

mind you....this is what happens when you try to develop a car this quickly and don't take the time to properly test it.....mazda is at fault for saying that they were going to release this car in sept when they hadn't even done cold weather testing....i mean come on.....they're just finding out about the cold air messing with the ecu.....this worries me......and it should worry the rest of you too.......trying to cut corners to release a car as soon as possible is not the way to go.....i would have been happy if they had said from the get go a spring 2003 release and had done all the testing needed to be sure the car wasn't going to be getting recalled the month after release......shame on mazda...they should know better
You're right, saided, but it's unfortunate that they said the car would be out late Sept/early Nov. I don't think anyone would be upset if Mazda had said at the beginning that the car wouldn't be out until Dec. I figure Mazda was jumping the gun a little by setting their release date. They really should have scheduled time for issues like this instead of leaving potential paying customers to twist in the wind while they try to fix problems.
