Just seeing what my options are.

Actually, I have the pistons, rods fuel rail....and pretty much everything else you need. I was just going to get rid of it. I need a stocker exhaust or a MSP one if you have one kickin around I ll swap you...good enouogh deal?

WOot!! life saver!! Are they the stock pistons/rods or aftermarket?

PM me with everything you have man.

Hey, Viral. Have you had engine work done, forged and such? Where in EDM are you at? I don't think I've ever seen your car.

I was thinking more along the lines of where he got his machine work and balancing done. I have a guy that works with me that's pretty good friends with the owner of Davenport but I don't know how much they want to do my "tuner" work. They're more into the American Muscle.

Oh...he mentioned Silverstone or something in Edmonton.

Yeah. I've talked to them about ECU options. They seem to know what they're talking about. I should probably give them a call about my block.

When are you planning to do your motor swap?

Over winter. I just met up with Maxx last night. He's gonna go grab that motor from Viral tomorrow since he's headed to E-town anyways. Now it's just saving for the parts.

Are you and Maxx pretty tight with each other? I'd really like a Mazda know-it-all to help me when i get down to the nitty-gritty of building and tuning. I know he knows Haltech, and I've got a microtech, but just to get me started. This will be my first time being involved in any performance build/ownership.

Hey Alamo..you can talk to Raymond at Silverstone motorsports but uf your really serious about turboing...I go forged right off the start...if I was to do it all over again. It depends how much you want out of the engine.

Lots o boost forged block, pistons, and rods
bit o boost, pistons and rods.

For an ECU you have a large range. But I would put in the MSpeed ecu with a stand alone. Do not get a piggyback system.

The Haltech is good but sucks in cold starts...(winter issue)

hey budda, engine is on its way...unfortunately I was not able to meet up wit Maxx...kids were having a meltdown and I needed to take em to the park. Anyhoo, he has the engine and all is good. If you can keep an eye out for a stock exhaust, that would be great.

Ya I'll bring/ship out the exhaust to you. I've got it at my parents house. I'll let you know as soon as I ship it.

Motor looks good btw. THanks man!
