Just Ordered Exhaust

I just ordered my exhaust tonight.....I got the Megan Racing Catback. It was 335 so thats not that bad. I have the protege so any put the p5 one on ther pro here....how much are normally the install for an exhaust. and i will have to have a little extra pipe on there since the p5 is shorter

Any advice is welcomed

Do the install your self. It is not hard at all. Just get some jack stands or ramps and bam you are in business!

*EDIT* u said Catback, i was thinking axleback.....

Remove 6 bolts which are 14 or 15mm (not sure which one) and take off 2 rubber hangers on the canister and at the mid section...and viola! Old stuff out, and add your new sheet.....

You may need 'PB Blaster' to remove the bolts at the flanges....they may be a little rusty, and add some 'WD-40' if u need to slide off the hangers. Other than that your in business bud.

yuh if u bought the p5 kind then its gonna be to short, i woodnt know what a shop would charge for a lil bit more piping, shoodnt be too bad, whered u buy it frum?

i have a megan catback u might get some issues tho like it rubbing on the gas tank and in the mid section, if it does just bend the hanger's and u are good to go. also it not that short on the p5 the muffler part will hang out a few inch.

Also get some kartboy hanger's they will help alot.

congrat's too u will like the sound of it. if u have header's it will be loud and drone alot on the highway. but other than that it is a good exhaust. i think before i had my turbo i put down 107hp with obx hd's and megan exhaust and aem intake.

the difference is only 5 inches and you can get loose pipe at autozone for 5 bucks.

mine only came with 4 bolts and 2 gaskets
