Just Leased Mazda 3 GT AT

hey guys, just leased a mazda 3 hatchback gt automatic, just curious what are some good upgrades i can do to a lease as for as performance goes that wont void anything i personally was thinking cold air intake, cat back exhaust, and header ? would that void? and what product recommendations for those parts. I called up aem they said they did not try there cai on the 2007 engines yet but i am pretty sure they are the same as 06.

You check Mazda's site, under accessories, to view upgrades that won't void your warranty.

It's my understanding that you can't modify a leased vehicle, but I could be wrong. Don't listen to anyone who says automatics are lame. I walk all over MTX owners with my auto, it's a matter a preference and knowing how to use your ATX.

^^ yeah it's a matter of preference, but no matter how you use an auto it shifts much slower, doesn't allow arbitrary selection of gears, doesn't allow true engine braking, and uses a very inneficient fluid torque converter that saps power.

Not hatin on the autotragics (lol) just puttin that out there. Automatics have their place, though I do think they should all be replaced with DSG.

i dont know about u guys....i have heard many loud exhaust from automatics.....that sound so stupid....and u know its a automatics the way it sound.....if you are gonna get a automatics....just leave the darn car alone...and floor it....thats all u need to do....dont get exhaust and cai to think you will get a big performance gain.....its hopeless

If you are going make some performance in your car, just do it!! If this will make you happy dont stopping because some advisors say no its useful.

first off my fault i typed leased i meant financed. i have always leased cars i didnt realize what i was typing.a car sometimes in a household is used by more then one person like, my wife who can not drive a manual. if i had a choice i would drive manual, i have a 1970 nova ss that is manual and that is the only way to go, so i understand limitations of auto vs manual, but performance gainers of any type will improve engine dynamics no matter what. i was just looking to free up air in the engine just far a little bit more of power.
