A quick way to see how you did is to check out Edmunds.com, and figure out what the invoice price is for a car with the same options. For the past few months, dealers in the Bay Area have been advertising P5's at several hundred $$ below invoice, so they've obviously got some hold-back or incentive money from Mazda.
If you paid much over invoice, then you probably could have done better, although I don't know how the dearlers in SoCal are doing right now. Also, I noticed at Mazda's website that they've raised the based price of the P5 by $100 since May, which offsets part of the rebate. They have so many games to play that it is sometimes hard to tell if you've been ripped off or got a fair price. No matter what they say, the dealers always make something off the deal, and if not on the car they sold you, then on the car you traded in.
By buying now rather than a few months later, you did make out by not having to pay the soon to be astronomical registration fees.
