Just Got an MP3 and don't know what to do

he already has the mp3 manifold without vtcs...that porting wouldnt be worth changing the mani out....

if your having the famous clunk from the rear of the car i have a clunk fix for sale

Wait whats the clunk? My sway bar has been sqeekying but thats about it.

sounds like you have a bunch of loose s*** in your trunk....and also every ******* flex of the suspension makes a horrid squeeking sound...this kit eliminates that

Alright cool, yeah I don't have that carzy ass clunking noise. Yeah I was just about to say something about getting a high flow cat. I'll do that too

Well I greased the urethane bushings but it sqeeks still when I get in the car and a little bit when I'm driving..whats the deal with that?

heres a basic list

Msp ecu
-Highly reccomend adding a SSAFC v2 also

Manifold, turbo, s pipe

Intercooler and piping...just buy Metallics kit and get like a hks BOV or something

oil feed and drain kit

intake

the squeeking is the other big problem this kit fixes...mine really didnt clunk that much at all but DAMN did it squeek... you can grease and replace the bushings but it will still come back and fast

5 bolts on each side...takes 10 minutes

theres instructions on here, but ya..so do you plan on installing the turbo lol?

Also I mite want to buy that clunk fix kit from you because the squeaking noise is starting to get on my damn nerves

No way I didnt think so, I'm going to do a ton of reading up and will be asking questions on alot of things on here..when I get started.

ya the squeek is embarrassing... mine was horrible...once those bushings get old, youll be able to hear it blocks away lol....just lemme know...id like to sell it soon because i need a bigger radiator so i can drive my car safely

Yea I'll get back to you hopefully Wednesday..I just replaced the clutch so give me till then....It for sure fixes that embarrassing squeaking noise?

I wouldn't waste my money on the MSP ECU. Put that money towards the Air/Fuel Controller (SS AFC) and get a cheap NA Protege ECU instead. The AFC works just as well with both types of ECU, but the MSP is like $200 more than the NA P5 or sedan ECU. Just make sure it's from a 5-speed.

A couple things you forgot to mention are gauges and an oil cooler. A lot of members turbo without an oil cooler but it's not a very good idea.. that oil get HOT and these engines burn through oil enough even without a turbo. And a boost and wideband o2 gauge will be very important for when you start tuning with that AFC. Oil pressure would be nice to have too, as oil leaks tend to spring up and detecting them in time can sometimes be the difference between zoom zoom and boom boom..

I agree with KrazyieFox. Alot of members apply the application without oil coolers, I believe automatics have to. I am going to put my turbo kit on without the oil cooler, but I am immediately saving up for one as well as clutch and flywheel. If I were you I would definetely begin reading, doing plenty of searches and ask plenty of questions.

If you want you can check out my thread in my sig and check out some of the parts that may be necessary. mp3-bronco also has a thread in his sig. I will be doing install in a couple days now. so if you have any questions or need any pics send me a pm

This thread has helped me out a ton, Ignore the title of it being "turbo for p5 applications," the p5, proteges, and msp's have the 2.0L motor.
