Well not really aftermarket but its not the same factory Mazda quality leather. Its a bit better from a company who does about 75% of NoVa's leather for dealerships.

Anyways. I talked the dealer into paying for leather in the price of the car (they didnt have a car on the lot i wanted with leather). Coincedentally a friend of mine knows 1 of them employees who actually does the leather installs and talked him into making it two-toned with Mazda stiching all for free.

Let me know what you think. In the sun, the Silver is really silver. In the shade it gives off a more of a brass type of finish. Overall im definately pleased. I no longer have the new car smell, i have the new leather smell :D

Wow! I normally hate leather with a passion, but that looks really, really nice. =) Especially the stitching on the front seats. Lucky you! Congrats!

Thank you. I feel like leather gives the car a classier touch to the interior. The factory clotch seats just didnt do it for me.

This is the first car ive had leather in as well. So far so good lol But 90 dgeree weather is going to take its toll on my bakc and legs, and then winter time is going to back just as bad with the coldness....but, ill suffer through the pain with the goodlooks lol

Muahahahaa... =) My 1988 Volvo 740 GLE had leather, with heated seats. =) The heated seats helped in the winter, but damn... In the summer, it got super stoasty on them. x.x

damn, that looks like it would be a cool ass mod. do u have any more info as to where i can find this?

Check your yellow pages.

OR, what i really suggest is calling up your local Mazda dealer and asking them who does there leather installs. Not from factory, but when a customer comes in and says they want leather installed, ask them what company they take the car to.

Then, call them up and see what they charge.

Nice seats...It's aftermarket. Those are Katzkins leathers. Several folks on the board have them in different colors and styles. I have all black and am really envious of you guys with the embroidered logo. That's sweet.

Anyone have any suggestions for leather conditioner? Something that doesnt smell gawd awful and doesnt need 4 hours to dry?

I've been using Meguiars "Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner" it smells a little funky when you first use it, but the smell doesn't last more than a few minutes. Seats look great still and I have a 9 year old daughter dragging in and out of them all the time. Close to 17,000 miles on the car so I think it's a good product

And for quick clean ups they make a "wipe" you can just rub the seats down real fast if you are going out with someone you wanna impress or something but don't have time to really do the job

Those are awesome. Now are they just "covers" over the original seats or new ones. I'm interested in doing this. I don't trust or believe my dealership can do this for me, so I'd be interested if you can buy the stuff and install it yourself. Is that possible?

Always a good deal when you get it done for FREE.

You lucky bastid.

You got aftermarket leathers for FREE??? argh... drools

they're really nice BTW, and yeah I was wondering how much it would cost me if I don't have any connections like you did.

oh yeah are these covers or complete seat replacements?

Im going to guess they are just leather covers. The seats feel the same in terms of softness, but the leather has a great feel right now.

Something like this would prolly cost in the $1,000 range all said and done. The cheap part weas actually requesting the two-tone look instead of all black, AND the stitching. Each of those options were only $50.00.

Again, i say contact your dealership and find out who does there leather installs. Contact the place they give you and ask for some price proposals and see they how much they run.

Thanks everyone!
