Just Got 10hp in Less Than 15minutes!

Will I blow my Motor w/ the Advanced Timing?

Its an auto. Still the baseline for the 5speed p5 is around 98 or 100 to the wheels. the 130 is hp is to the crank or something like that.
 
i had N2O on my mp3 the zex dry kit it did mess up anything but the downside is u can't use in first gear way to much power but i got it under control and ran a 15.3 my first time at the track and my reaction time was like 1 sec and some change but don't take my word for it do what u want to do but i had no probs with my kit
 
You should og to the dynos because the pro5 hp at the wheels is kind of low. I am running a Ingen CAI, 2 1/4 custom exhuast from the cat, Magnicore plug wires, and denso iridium plugs, and all i am getting is 108.3hp at the wheels.

I plan to go to the dyno as soon as i get my header...Which should be by fall...

I believe that the p5 w/ manual tranny on the dyno says about 105..or something like horsepower!

So it did or didn't??? What size shot were you using? I know about shooting in first gear..My NX Kit has been installed since winter!! So i have shot about 6 bottles worth..Since i just changed to the mp3 ecu i haven't even filled up my tank...

Where you using any octane booster? How long were you on the bottle(estimate of how many bottle you ran through your car)?

I had a 55 shot and I think I went through like 7 bottles. I didnt have a octane boosters. I did have any problems the only thing i changed on my car was spark plugs

Damn, that's what I had! I remember MP3 Owner lasting a lot longer than me before his engine gave out. He also had the Zex 55 dry shot. Mine lasted for 2 days.:(

What kit was it? a dry kit? What type of Spark plugs you were using? Were they a step colder? What did you gap them at?

Why did you take off the Kit?

Damn, that's what I had! I remember MP3 Owner lasting a lot longer than me before his engine gave out. He also had the Zex 55 dry shot. Mine lasted for 2 days.

Hey Linux...Are you sure that the MP3 has advance timing and not a remapped fuel cure?? Anyone know? Buhler! LOL:D

It was a ZEX Dry Kit and I used ZEX Spark Plugs. I don't know how they were set up the guy that installed it did all that I guess.I took it off b/c I wanted a turbo.
 
nos doesn't blow up engines people blow up engines.
you really do need to be careful with that my friend. they are right you were safer with the p5 ecu.

now with that said if you ever want to go for turbo you are going to want you p5 ecu back. turbos work better with it.

Well Technically...But the truth is that Nitrous is a safe alternative to a turbo/supercharger..it's all about the size of shot you are using and type of kit!!

I know i was safer w/ a p5 ecu..but my whole idea is to gain hp..and it was a free trade..and worst comes to worst..I will trade w/ someone...But i truthfully doubt i will do that!

I am not going tubo...My Next car will have a turbo!!

hmm, i wonder what an entry standalone FMU would cost

An FMU..is only for turbo's..It adds fuel based on psi!

I think you mean Stand Alone ECU..and that's allot of money!!

maybe you should look into a J&S Safeguard...They can be used to retard timing..as proven by Linux Racer..I checked out their website and they do have 1 that helps w/ nitrous oxide!!

i have probably been though 20 bottles. no problems here!!!!!!!!!!
i got my own cylinder and refill station, i refill my bottle every time i go out. hell i will turn it on going to lunch or on the way home from work, u never know who or where the next victim will be. the stock computer from what i have seen can pull at lest 28 degrees of timing out with the wds at work. i am hoping my p&p head will make a bigger diff. traction is a problem.
