Hi, everyone! I'm 6 weeks away from becoming a new father and have been on the hunt for a people carrier. I've had nothing but VWs & Audis since I could drive so I was a little disappointed when I found my baby's new Recaro convertible car seat struggling to fit comfortably in my A4s. Since VW didn't have anything with a 3rd row minus their minivan and Audi's Q7 is way too much money, I found myself shopping Toyota, Nissan, Volvo, Honda, and Mazda. It's truly surprising how well equipped CX9s are before tacking on any options! I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir but as a new Mazda owner, it's extremely difficult to find a better value! Also, this forum seems to get a decent amount of traffic and I can already tell after only an hour or so reading through that this forum is going to be a godsend to a newb like me.
My wife and I ended up with a 2010 CX9 Touring AWD with Bose, roof, pwr lift gate, Sirius, backup cam, all weather mats, and cargo net. If you're on the fence, Mazda is running a 0% finance offer that made this a seriously easy decission for my wife and I.
We signed the paperwork just in time to beat the heaviest of the snowfall home. Despite the conditions, I took the new sled out for an AWD test drive and though my Quattros seem more surefooted in the snow, the 9 is surprisingly capable for it's size.
Anyway...I'm rambling! I'm just so excited about my new Mazda! Thanks for listening!
