Hello everyone! just got back from a big swap meet with my father looking for parts for his camaro. Came across a vender with a lot of tuner things randomly. Found a Greddy BOV for 20 bucks! so I couldnt pass that up. I was wondering what I need to get this thing on my baby. What flange? VTA or recirculating? I dont want to lose any power by putting this on my car! So if you guys have any suggestions on what I should do whats a good product etc. I would really appreciate the help! thanks mazda bro's!

just found the ATP greddy adapter flange on that site that starts with street and ends in unit and also on that garage one! *i remember one of those sites are like blocked on this forum so yeah you catch my drift, mods please dont ban me! haha*

but yeah has anyone used that? and do our cars need to be VTA or recirc? how do I make sure its one or the other. sorry for being such a rookie! im learning!

20 bucks man! is this the RS? i think it is.

Indeed that is a RS model, shouldn't be to hard to find a recirc part to replace the trumpet, but by my calculations, with the need for Flange and Recirc part it's probably going to be almost the same as a new one, I would say post it up for sale in the SRT forum or 240sx forums, make your money off it and get a forge bpv and call it a day.

really! tiiiiiiiiiiittttttts! the ATP flanges wont let me run recirc? just bare with me i know NOTHING about bov's besides they hold boost better and make a cool sound hahahaha

x2 greddy bov's are junk.

u can use it, but u have to tune the greddy buy adjusting the spring. sometimes it can be a long process and if ur wanting ur car to run right it might not be the best bov to use.

def want my car to run right haha and yeah i saw that adjusting thing at the top. =\ hmmmmm i wouldnt want to mess anything up either!

sell the thing, make your money off it and move on like I said...it's the best thing. The speeds run like crap if it's not in recirc....I did my Turbosmart in 50/50 and same thing so it's just not worth the trouble.

UPDATE: after a lot of thinking i decided to just buy the flange and the recirculating fitting thing for the Greddy type rs i got for 20 bucks. hahaha. the flange and the recirc thing together cost me 48 bucks shipped. so 68 dollars for a greddy type rs bov not bad. cant wait to be loud and obnoxious with it. im gonna be that guy. =) hehe

ah, not to burst your bubble, but the RS is NOT loud by any means. its actually VEERY quiet in Recirc. CopperKid had one back in 08 when the R was the shyt cuz of the sound, but he had his RS for 2 days then sold it and got a HKS.

oh god damnit! hahahaha oh well. it didnt hurt to see though. damn thing cost me 20 bucks and only 68 bucks all together. no biggie.

I bought the atp flange from another site that we can not post on here but the recirc fitting was pointless, it wouldnt screw into the bov i had. I have a knock off type s bov and luckily the bov came with a bigger hose to run for the top small nipple or else the kit wouldnt have worked for me. I put on the bov and it sounds great, no adjustments needed and i can hear a little of the actual type s sound but for now with no intake i cant post a video but will come here soon.

yeah man that site that cant be named just called me saying the recirc fitment is discontinued and the 19mm whatever is actually to small so they are sending me a 31mm fitment for no additional charge instead. idk as long as it works idc haha im such a rookie.

oh wow nice man im glad they let you know, the stock recirc line i was able to fit over the bov so i was lucky. I left mine in vta for a quick drive and it was great but yours is an rs so who knows man, you could always try looking for videos witht he rs on this car or others so you can expect what it will sound like.

I have an RS on mine recirculating. You can barely hear it. Just a little louder that stock, and thats with my intake. When i get a little more money, Im gonna upgrade to a turbosmart dual port
