Just a question to all...I am confused...

ok, I have been looking for parts for my 2.3 S sedan. Recently a member of this site directed me to www.japanparts.com (thanks again for that key suggestion). Well, the parts listed within some of the pages there say that they are for a certain type i.e. (15F, 20C, 23S). As such, some of the parts are model specific. What is the difference between those models and which model is my car (I know it may be naive, but I am kind of lost and would like to know).

Those are the various engine sizes available in Japan.

And to extend on bluntman a bit, the Japanese 23S would be equivalent to your Mazda3s
