this will be a very slow build....I have read so many build threads and thought I would make one....I got this car right at 1 year ago....The engine was blown so I got a great deal on it...I rebuilt the engine with stock internals (this was before I was on this forum and learned so much about this car) I had this engine for about 2-3 months and I took my cosin for a ride and turned the boost up to roughly 20 PSI....needless to say she went boom....I rebuilt the engine again, stock internals again....now I'm running 5 PSI until I get together everything for a forged engine, although I might end up doing a KL swap, forgeing that engine and turboing it....but thats not set in stone yet....I have K-1 H-beam rods and peuter pistons but I think I want to get some good weisco's instead.....I just got my front bumper and grill repainted along with paint the hood flat black....I will be putting pics up but I can't seem to figure out how to put them on without having to click to open them.....I will be auto X this coming spring....I plan on doing some suspension work....When I got the car it had a baby half radiator (which eventually blew) so now there is a P5 radiator and fans in it....I plan to do a wire tuck very soon and fabricate and build a core support from aluminum....I will be updating this thread as work is done, from little minor things up to big engine drops...just some where I can keep everything I do in one place....comments, questions and advice welcome

yea i'm lucky, it snapped right under the wrist pin.....As soon as it went I hit the key so that prolly saved mass distruction really, 2 other rods where bent pretty good

Cool carnage shots! Honestly when the rods snap it all happens in a split second, by the time you turned the ignition off the damage was already done.
I know the damage was already done with that rod but if I would have paniced and not shut it down the damage could have been worse....two other rods were at the point of breaking, could have let that rod go back up into the cylinder and pushed the piston up damaging the head....it looks very bad but could have been much worse.....but you are 100% right, the damage was already done....thanks for the comments

No I don't know how to post just the pics and no not posting from my phone.....the only way I know how to get pics on here is to "go advanced" and "attach" a file.......I have asked how to just post a straight pic but I haven't gotten an answer
It was at one point, I was testing the waters to see what was out there....all I got was BS offers, which is what I figured I would get from CL anyway

when you make a post in the toolbox there is a insert image button. Put your direct link in there. They have to be uploaded to a hosting site first though
