Listen, there is basic criminal investigation, which the Boulder Police Dept. did not do from day one, step one, the minute the call came in.
There are about ten questions you ask this guy as the Boulder investigator in country that would tell you that he didn't do it. Those questions haven't been asked. The investigator should have taken the DNA evidence that they did have with him, get a sample right there in Thailand and know.
The former and current Boulder DA is close personal friends with the Ramsey's. The local station that broke the story, close personal friends with the Boulder DA and the Ramseys. The CU Professor who did the email back and forth with this clown in Thailand, close personal friends with the Ramseys. This whole thing is bogus, and simple questions like, "How did you get to Boulder?" would shoot more holes in this guys swiss cheese confession.

not that i know anything about this case, but what if the ramseys were prostituting out their daughter? that would explain why this guy would be there (multiple child porn charges), why they would have the secret room, why the parents would look/act guilty but may not have actually killed her, and would go along with his accident story (doing not nice things to her alone in the room, took it too far, realized what he did and tried to get away). not that i have any evidence to back this up, but it would make sense
The other BIG problem with this confession is that the autopsy showed old sexual assualt scars on her. This was not the first time she was *****.
The theory around here is that the father was into sadisic kiddie porn and the mother covered. This guys they have now possibly has something to do with the past occurances but not this one.

The reports I heard never said they were both in Atlanta. Were they livign there during the same time?
Karr also said he drugged Jon Benet, but the autopsy shows negative results on the toxicology.

I've lived in the Denver metro area for over 17 years now. I watched the Boulder detectives f- up the case from minute one of the this whole thing. I've spoken to a few people who have been involved in the case in some manner (attempting to help Boulder get it together). About three detectives and a detective sergeant quit Boulder PD because of how f-ed up the case was handled and the relationship between the DA's office with the Ramsey's.
On top of that, the facts have been widely covered on local news radio regarding the case and how Karr has told the press some far fetched things regarding the case that are not even close to being true. Local news radio has covered this thing from day one in 1996.
The DA hasn't even filed charges on Karr, they held a press conference to tell everyone absolutely nothing. I don't even know how they are bringing Karr to the US with out an arrest warrant. The only way he would be able to come is if he voluntarily came, which goes right back to why he was being held in Thailand to begin with.
Even the Boulder DA's office has said if they can't make the Jon Benet thing stick, they'll kick him loose to Cali for the child porn charges he fled the country on. What kind of case do you have when you tell people that?
The fact is, the only way they can tie this guy to this case is through the DNA evidence found on Jon's body, under her finger nails. And that DNA isn't very "clean" at all....
The facts of the case have been widely known from shortly after Jon Benet was murdered. Do a little research and you'll see how this dude is a long shot, big time. There are no "secrets" about the murder that this guys knows that nobody else knows....
