JL 10W6 & Fosgate 301s?

I just picked up a JL 10w6 for my pro5 and am looking for an amp to push it. I've found a RF 301s at a GREAT price and am wondering if it enough to push it and give good sound. The specs says its about 300 x 1 bridged into a 4 ohm load and that seems to match the specs on the sub. So my question is, is this a good match?

By the way the sub is going to be in a fiberglass enclosure I started building tonight. It will be in the hatch on the drivers side.

The 10w6 is going to give you a 3ohm load. I would contact RF or talk to a sales rep to see if that particular amp can handle a 3ohm load. You will have to keep it in a well ventilated area or put fans on it if you crank it up on a regular basis.

A better approach would be to find a mono amp such as the MTX 801D that is rated for 250-300 watts at 4ohms and will give you a little more at 3ohms without overheating the amp.

I think your RF amp will be fine. Most amps dont start having problems until you get under a 2 ohm load.
