James Barone SSP Clunk

Hey everyone...so I installed the james barone ssp and now my shifts from 1-2 and 3-4 are pretty "clunk"-y and sometimes grind too. After searching, I found the video on www.jamiesplanet.com to tune your shifter. Could anyone tell me if this is the way to go about solving the "clunk" problem? because I think i read on the 3forum that someone tried it and it didnt really work..maybe it was just him. Advice would be helpful! Thanks!

Here's the issue: When you shorten the shift throw, you say to the synchros in the trans, "Hurry up and get on with it!" They have more time, even a few milliseconds, to do their job, with stock throw shifter. You should try the adjustment but, if the problem persists, you have mechanical issues in the trans. This box isn't exactly over-strength in the synchro department; some, like me, have 0 issues and others have alot.

I posted in your other thread. The key is adjusting, and taking your time to get used to it. Don't put it on and rush out racing with it. You need to relearn shifting a bit.
